  • Two flexible supply lines (hot and cold)
  • Rubber gaskets and O-rings
  • Spring coil assembly

Before You Begin

Estimated Installation Time: 30-45 minutes

Important Safety Notes:

  1. Turn off the water supply valves under the sink (both hot and cold)
  2. Turn on the old faucet to release any remaining water pressure
  3. Place a bucket under the connections to catch any residual water
  4. Have adequate lighting to see under the sink clearly

Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

Step 1: Remove Old Faucet

  1. Disconnect supply lines: Use an adjustable wrench to disconnect the hot and cold water supply lines from the old faucet
  2. Remove mounting nuts: Use a basin wrench to loosen and remove the mounting nuts holding the faucet to the sink
  3. Lift out old faucet: Once all connections are removed, lift the old faucet straight up and out
  4. Clean the surface: Thoroughly clean the sink surface where the new faucet will mount, removing any old putty or debris

Pro Tip: Take photos of your old faucet connections before removing them for reference.

Step 2: Prepare the New Faucet

  1. Check all parts: Lay out all components and verify everything is included
  2. Install rubber gasket: Place the large rubber gasket on the bottom of the faucet base (if not pre-installed)
  3. Thread supply lines: Feed the supply lines and spring hose through the gasket
  4. Apply plumber's tape: Wrap 3-4 layers of plumber's tape clockwise around the threads of both supply line connections

Important: Make sure the rubber gasket sits flat against the faucet base for a proper seal.

Step 3: Position Faucet on Sink

  1. Feed lines through hole: Carefully feed the supply lines and pull-down hose through the mounting hole in your sink or countertop
  2. Position the faucet: Center the faucet on the mounting hole, ensuring it faces the correct direction
  3. Press firmly: Push down gently to seat the rubber gasket against the sink surface
  4. Check alignment: From above, verify the faucet is properly aligned before moving to the next step

Note: For sinks without pre-drilled holes, ensure your hole is 1.25" - 1.5" in diameter.

Step 4: Secure Mounting Hardware (Under Sink)

  1. Slide on mounting bracket: From underneath, slide the metal or plastic mounting bracket over the supply lines
  2. Add washers and nuts: Place the rubber washer, then metal washer, then thread on the mounting nut
  3. Hand-tighten first: Thread the mounting nuts by hand to avoid cross-threading
  4. Tighten with wrench: Use a basin wrench or adjustable wrench to firmly tighten the nuts (do not over-tighten)
  5. Check faucet stability: Try gently moving the faucet from above - it should be completely stable

Pro Tip: Alternate tightening between nuts if there are multiple mounting points to ensure even pressure.

Step 5: Install Spring Coil Weight

  1. Locate the weight: Find the cylindrical weight that came with your faucet
  2. Thread onto hose: Slide the weight onto the pull-down hose above the connection point
  3. Position correctly: The weight should hang freely and help the hose retract smoothly
  4. Test movement: Pull down the spray head and release - the weight should help it snap back

Important: The weight is essential for proper hose retraction. Do not skip this step.

Step 6: Connect Water Supply Lines

  1. Identify hot and cold: Hot water connects to the left supply line, cold to the right (when facing the faucet)
  2. Connect to shut-off valves: Thread each supply line onto the corresponding shut-off valve under the sink
  3. Hand-tighten first: Start by hand to ensure proper threading
  4. Wrench-tighten: Use an adjustable wrench to tighten an additional 1/4 to 1/2 turn
  5. Don't over-tighten: Over-tightening can damage the connections and cause leaks

Reminder: Red markings typically indicate hot water connections.

Step 7: Install Pull-Down Spray Head

  1. Connect spray head: The spray head should already be connected, but verify the connection is secure
  2. Thread through collar: Make sure the hose passes through the spring collar properly
  3. Check spray modes: Most spray heads have 2-3 spray patterns - verify the button or switch works
  4. Ensure smooth operation: Pull the spray head down and release several times to check for smooth movement

Step 8: Turn On Water Supply & Test

  1. Open shut-off valves: Slowly turn both hot and cold water shut-off valves to the open position
  2. Check for leaks: Immediately inspect all connections under the sink for any water leaks
  3. Turn on faucet: Open the faucet to release air from the lines (water may sputter initially)
  4. Test both temperatures: Run hot and cold water to verify both work properly
  5. Test spray head: Pull down the spray head and test all spray functions
  6. Check for drips: Let water run for 2-3 minutes, then turn off and check for any dripping

If you notice leaks: Turn off water, dry the area, and tighten the leaking connection slightly.

Step 9: Final Adjustments & Cleanup

  1. Adjust spray head tension: Some models have adjustable tension for the pull-down mechanism
  2. Clean the faucet: Wipe down the faucet with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints
  3. Test full rotation: Ensure the faucet rotates smoothly 360° (if applicable)
  4. Verify stability: Check that the faucet doesn't move when operating the handle
  5. Remove any labels: Peel off any protective stickers or labels

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Problem: Low water pressure

Solution:

  • Remove and clean the aerator (unscrew from spout tip)
  • Check that supply valves are fully open
  • Verify supply lines aren't kinked

Problem: Spray head won't retract

Solution:

  • Check that the weight is properly installed
  • Ensure the hose isn't tangled or caught under the sink
  • Verify the spring mechanism isn't obstructed

Problem: Water leaking from base

Solution:

  • Tighten mounting nuts slightly
  • Check that rubber gasket is properly seated
  • Verify O-rings are in place on supply connections

Problem: Handle is loose or wobbly

Solution:

  • Tighten the set screw on the handle (usually hidden under a cap)
  • Check that mounting hardware is secure

Problem: Spray modes not switching

Solution:

  • Clean spray head button/switch
  • Check for mineral buildup around spray face
  • Verify hose connection is secure

Maintenance Tips

Daily Care:

  • Wipe down with a soft cloth after each use
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing pads
  • Dry water spots to prevent mineral buildup

Monthly Maintenance:

  • Clean aerator to maintain water pressure
  • Inspect spray head for mineral deposits
  • Check under sink for any moisture or leaks

Annual Maintenance:

  • Inspect all connections for wear
  • Replace O-rings if needed
  • Lubricate moving parts if necessary
